Company party etiquette 101

(NECN) - It's party season. From now until the first of the year, there will be invitations for New Year's, the holidays, and the office party.
Rosanne Thomas, founder and president of Protocol Advisors, joins us with the best way to politely navigate these parties and avoid getting a bad reputation.
Thomas says it's important for people to respond to party invitations regardless of whether you can attend.
Attire is important at a work party. If you are unsure of what the attire is, Thomas suggests checking with the person who sent the invitation.
Once at the party, it's a good idea to circulate as much as possible, spending 3 to 4 minutes with each person. Thomas says to remember a company party is a business event - don't complain or gossip.
